i gonna change my bridge and could anyone recommend a good luthier?those whose workmanship and prices are good?

Replacing the bridge does not require a luthier. You can DIY but you must know how to set the intontation, strings height etc. You can bring it to Mike at Standard Value or Beez at Look For Beez. They can do a good job.

Do you have a budget for that? What kinda bridge work do you intend to do....different people have a different perspective when it comes to a general term. And different luthier have different "charges" to the work done....well its a competitive business if you ask me.:)
I used to go to KC before but now all my guitars i send it to Malcolm.....he does excellent work but if you dont mind the price.:)Dont get me wrong on this...its WORTH IT!
As for Malcolm i think he's not available this December...i think he's still doing reservist if i'm correct. He's a member in Soft too and goes by the nick empty71...
Or you can try those mentioned by our fellow members above....:D

Some questions if any of you can advice, how much does it cost to refret?
The mid part of 13th fret level is lower than 14th fret so how do I go abt it, can it be filed or sanded down?
Or need more work done like refreting? If need to refret, possible to do only the affected frets as they are seasoned & I like to keep the rest that way.

refretting is not cheap, look forward to pay in excess of $200.

from your description, you might experience a fret wear:

1. only the affected fret could be replaced, this would cost you much lesser than an entire re-fret job

2. it could be that your frets are not levelled properly, in this case, a fret re-dress would suffice, total re-fret is unnecessary

3. there may be other neck issues causing this problem, let someone in the know take a look at it
