RE:guitar package

Hi,new to guitar just wanna try it out so any fellow softies knw which package ,value for money budjet around 300-400sgd..

I don't kinda recommend starter packages... The amp is usually crappy...

But for starter packs, I GUESS a LTD or Ibanez should be good enough. But for the Ibanez packs you'd have to stretch your budget a bit.

the ibanez starters (gio) are good, esp if you are a beginner, but if you chip in more money, you can get a mid-range ibanez as a long term solution for your beginner to professional years

i said this too many times but don't mind repeating:

when it comes to the Epiphone range of LPs, there's not much differences in instrinsic specs, more of cosmetics unlike the Gibson makes where the Studio is different from a Supreme.

refer to the review section to get some overview of selected Epiphone guitars.

As for the amp, try and get a Vox Pathfinder 15R. It costs about 100+, you would have to spend a bit more than your budget but it would last a hell of a lot longer than the starter kit amps.

People, people.
Sorry to interupt but the threadstarter did say guitar packages... why are u guys recommending him guitars and amps seperately? (it'll overshot his budget i think)

So erm, you looking for guitar packages/sets?
Hmms.. Davis @ peninsula has SX Guitar packages. If you fancy strats u could get the STT62, otherwise for les paul shapes u could go for the other package.

Yes, there are Ibanez packages at Swee Lee, go check 'em out =D

EDIT : oops... forgot to add in the LTD F-10 Package u can also check out at Guitar77 or Davis. This one's good imo lol.

re_unknown..

the TS is completely new to guitar.. his purpose is to get a guitar, amp and the necessary stuff to start playing the guitar..

if separate guitar and amp makes it more worthwhile, why not?

still serves the purpose aint it?

juz my thoughts.

hmms yes u have a point there deathsium bro.

just have to keep the number small for him then.
threadstarter... if u think theres no need for a 1st hand equipment(cables etc...) u could try getting them secondhand in the soft buy/sell guitar forum.

best of luck.

Try 2nd hand goods.

I got a 2nd-hand guitar and 2nd-hand amp for a total of $420. A LTD 50-series guitar ($300) and a Laney HCM30R 30watt amp ($120). Both of them are in pretty good condition when I got them.

First-hand LTD 50-series guitars currently sell for $380 at Davis. They are pretty good and can last you all the way to intermediate level I think.

I think getting a small amp would be sufficient for practise. I kinda regretted getting a 30 watt cos I am a HDB heartlander and I'm only using 1/12 of its volume or I will get neightbours complaining.

sorry larh deathism lols - bad habit of spelling ur name wrongly >.<

Faberglass, the LTD F-10 Package can be bought from Guitar77 at $399.

The SX Les Paul shaped GG1K set is $235 at Davis while the strat style SST62 goes for $195.

The F-50 is a notch better than the F-10 though. Whats your total budget?

re uknown,

hmm my budjet about 400sgd coz i just wanna try out in guitar as i'm more in keyboarding so dunwan to waste too much $ if i lost intrest...btw the SX Les Paul shaped GG1K set is $235 includes amp all that?thx

i figured it out that it comes with everything, just want to knw that davis still selling the package for sure? And does it come in black? THNX all this may be the package i'm gonna get
