Hi guys,
Juz wondering,
what are your views on rappers?as for me i like rapping as its an art an its very challenging to write my own stuff.especially making ryhmes......

I'm currently doing a project with my band on some rapcore stuff and was thinking what i should be writing abt?any pointers?
I should say i used to scream alot as previously my band were playing more emo and hardcore but now man after reaching my late twenties,i feel i'm more cut out for rapping..

Juz a thought and open to discussion......have your say guys!

i respect rappers cos i cant rap, they do have a knack of rhyming. But the raps that i dont like are those that are so slurred that i dono wat the hell they are rapping about.

hahaha...you gotta listen to more rap stuff...mainstream or otherwise...

if you want smart lyrics..listen to the battles cause they have all the punches. and there are rhyming dictionaries for sale..if you need help for that...

and riding the beat is very important...and pronunciation is vital...cause without good pronunciation...people don't know what you're rapping about...and then it's no use...

and write about what's personal to you...not what the hip hop artists write about cause then you'd just be faking it...write from the heart...people can tell...

and you might want to read up on the vocabulary because it really helps when you're looking for words that go together...

mmm...i haven't been able to get one in a bookstore locally...but there're planty on sale online ( i don't have a credit card lar)

or alternatively ...just search for rhymtionaries online...google it..."rhyme dictionary" or stuff like that...you might be able to come up with some good stuff...

but you shouldn't just focus on the rhyming...find what you want to say...then different ways to say it...the rhymes should come naturally once your vocab is there...

haha.. i used to do rapping in my previous band.

try downloading analog X..i use it when I get stuck for words though..its something like a rhyming dictonary to me.
