questions on customising of guitars

Hey, I really keen on getting my guitar customised but would like to know more about it as i'm really new to customising guitars. one of the question that i would really like to get it answered is that if i wish to customise my inlays to something new does it mean that i got to change an entire neck? Feel free to answer if you know the answer. would really appreciate the help. Thanks

Uh nope, you probably won't have to change the whole neck if you want to inlay it, just bring it to someone who knows what they're doing.

not really to call it a custom guitar ... make it sound more ex and all those nonesense... although i'm not a really good player but i would say a guitar is more than jus an instrument... its something you bond with... so yeah i would want to make it my own... and to me any other customisation that is not done by the original producer of the guitar is like fake to me ... but yeah i jus want to customise it to make it more personal ... no intentions of selling or anything... one of the dreams in my life is to really fly to the states and go to a gibson custom shop to custom my guitar right down to every detail of it ... till then i will jus stick with whatever way i can make my guitar more personal.

sorry if i came off as an ass, just that like ive seen to many pple these days wanting to custom for the sake of customizing so they can go out there and tell pple ' oh my guitar is a custom ' when in fact theres a difference btwn customizing and modifying or modding. anyway just to put right any wrong, if u need like some insight onto customizing, just drop me a pm. =)
