Question regarding Floyd Rose replacement...

I haf an Ibanez RG470LH MIJ for quite a while now and I intend to replace its floyd rose low-pro locking tremolo with a new one. My question is can this model that I intend to buy, be able to fit? The new floyd rose is a different model ( pls see link ). Any info is much appreciated. Thks...

Why do you want to replace it? what do you not like about the current one? Best for you to check the specs and see whether can fit or not

My advise is, don't waste time with brandless Licensed Floyd Rose bridge. Just go for Gotoh. It's the best next to the Ibanez Edge (minus 2 and 3) series. The MIJ RG470 you were talking about is made in which year?

if its not edge pro equipped, look for the takeuchi MIJ bridge. same as the lo-trs.

question here is, why replace? its an awesome trem.

Thks peeps for ur replies, pts noted. The only reason why Im thinking of replacing it is bcoz the `colour' has faded due to some sort of corrosion after years of palm-muting abuse. Has read some good reviews regarding the Gotoh floyd rose licensed tremolo. Any idea where I can locally buy a lefthanded model?

Davis carries the Gotoh Floyd Rose trem, however, i don't know if they do carry the left hand version. Also, please check if the routing is a direct drop in for Gotoh.
