Question about straploks

I've been using straploks for my guitars so far, but i'm starting to find having to buy an entire set for a guitar wasteful as this will mean i'll need to have multiple straps, which i really need one since straploks can be removed and locked onto under guitar.

Is there any place i can just get the strap buttons for the straploks? That way I don't need to buy more straps than i really need..

hmm,

not too sure about the button thingy though,

but why not try the dunlop plastic straplocks(the round ones)

at least you can remove the straps and straplocks at will,

works for me,

its still holding strong for 2 years already.

I use this marvel straplocks for all my guitars. It's very convinient and you can remove it from your strap easily not like those gotoh one which permanently stuck in your strap

I think it's abt 15 bucks from Davis and Ranking sports and music. Comes with black, silver and gold.

Only 1 flaw. The screw that attach the pin to the guitar worn off easily. Use other screw to attach.

Well,

planetwaves strap-lock strap thing is not reliable. After awhile, it just won't lock. Your guitar WILL fall out.

As for the plastic dunlop ones, i think i've actually broken those before. I like the straploks I have, just that i think getting new straps for every guitar is a waste of money.

Basically 2 methods.

1st method invest in schaller/dunlop straploks. Please not the plastic ones, get the metal type. The cost is so small compared to the price of your guitar that its really a no brainer to get one. About $18-20 per set. Install the part for your guitar. Then need to only install for one of your straps. This strap can then be used on all your guitars with the same brand of straplock installed.

Method 2: Locking strap.

Had to order this as, the normal dunlop/schaller type will not fit onto my parker guitars. Also the ability to use it on my acoustic with end hole jack sold me on it. Hope it arrives soon.
