Qns on whether to change pickup

Guys i got a Hamer cx2.. my pickup is rusty and so is the screws.. sigh.. is it a good idea to change pickup or just stay with it?
btw how much is a pair of pickups? humb

if you think it's worth the $$$ & the trouble (considering the price of your guitar), just go for it. IMO you should scout for used pickups...

are you happy with the sound? dont be too concerned about the overall look of your gear, if it sounds good, i say stick with it. but just a gauge, the average price range of pups can go from 99 to i dont know, 300+ 400 maybe?

Rust has little to do with sound quality fyi. In any case, you should oil and try to remove the top surface rust by wiping it off with oil and cloth.

thanks guys for e reply.. i was thinking of removing the rust before but after searchin thru this forum.. lots of answer came out.. some say can sand off some say cant.. some say use wd40, some say cant.. i wonder which one is the correct way of doing it

im still trying to remove the rust from mine, and its been half a year, HAHA
