Push/pull knob problem

Hey pple.. Was zeng-ing my SX jazz with a push-pull for parallel/series when I realised that the DPDT knob is too big for the control plate.. I spent like half the night doing it without checking.. Sians..

My question is are there multiple sizes for such DPDT knobs?
Is there anywhere that sells jazz bass control plates with different hole sizes?
I am so tempted to just drill a bigger hole into the control plate just to save money..

i had the same problem too when i changed the pot of my friend's electric guitar. after siok-siok solder all the wires, then i realize the pot is too big for the hole!

we solved the problem by enlarging the hole with a rat tail file. don't need to drill. for my case, the pot was just a little larger. so filing was sufficient. if i ever want to change back to small pot, can just use some washers to stick it in place. good luck.

you should have checked the size first. haha!!
