Which humbucker pups are suitable for les paul type guitars?

Any recommendations? and what are the prices like for these PUPs...

gee... it's like asking: which shoe laces are suitable for my NIKE? not to be personal or sarcastic (apologies if i did), but you need to be more objective:

*which guitar will these be in?
*what kinda tone are you after?
*which price bracket are you looking at?

if it's a humbucker, it works. even if it's not, as long as it fits into the cavity, it'll work...

don't get me wrong, i'm trying to help others help you out- why recommend you something super high output for instance, when you really wish for something Slash-esque?

Yeah tell us.

I do have a few ideas though...

Before I suggest though, we want to know what kind of sound your looking for.

hmm... that JB/ Jazz combo:

1. isn't for everyone. it's more of a hit/ miss- you either like it or don't (especially the JB's midrange peculiarity)

2. it's not exclusive to LPs, have it in my Ibanez RGA

Burstbucker Pros cost $490 or so at Sweelee for a set. Moving on, good combinations for an LP include:

1)59n/59b
2)59n/Customb
3)PearlyGatesn/Custom5b
4)Seth Lovers set

Tone is really subjective, so I would recommend that you read up on the abovementioned pickups, the Seymour Duncan forum is a really good place. HC reviews would do as well.

If u dont mind the wait, try bill lawrence l500. Otherwise, a sd jb at the bridge is v nice choice too. The sd 59s r way to muddy for me.
