I have a Fender Stratocaster with a Maple neck and there are some parts of the headstock where the lacquer finishing has been scrapped away on accident. I'm wondering how much would it cost to refinish just the surface of the headstock by a professional.

you might have to strip down the laq and respray the entire thing. I think that the laq will not look even after spraying over it.

Maybe if you still want your headstock to be re-finish. You may look for Malcolm Tan. Check out his website http://www.mtlutherie.com/, he pretty good at what he does. I guess just write an e-mail to him about the issue and from there you dicuss it with him. Hope this helps.

See whether is it worth to do not, if spray too messy, consider some,... Nail Polish~ to dip touch up~ otherwise, just leave it, cos' got character ,...
