Proel footswitch

I've a noob question ah. Paiseh.

I just got a Proel footswitch from a Softie couple of days ago for tap tempo on my DD20. But until now, i can't seem to use it :S
It goes into Control Pedal right? : ((((((((((((((
Checked everything from cables to whether i plugged it in the correct jack.
Anyway, what does the switch next to the jack on the footswitch do?

"The proel works, I have a friend who uses it. You have to configure the delay so the footswitch does tap, instead of switching memories or on/off. The manual explains it, so does the website i think."
