Priest + LoG

Why NO replies?!?

Yeah, I've heard! Surprised there hasn't been any interest in this event from fellow forummers! I'm really interested to go and so am looking for more like minded individuals to tag along. Anyone??

Just a teaser to hopefully whet your appetites... \m/:twisted:\m/

Received a PM from another bro here showing interest to attend this concert! So currently, it's me + 1! Dunno about TS lei...

Lamb of god is too noisy for me :S

If i go can i go later to attend Judas Priest portion :p

Wasted though

Haha! Thought the same at first, but listened more and found that behind the "noise", lies a pretty damn technical musical score ('specially the drums & guitar), arrangement was top-class as well!

Agreed that it'd be a waste just to attend the Priest portion of the concert. I readily shelled-out the cash 'cos I felt this show to be excellent value...2 for the price of 1 mah... :p

Fyi - use the password 'Resolution' at Sistic (online, outlets or phone) and tickets are $125.

Oh man! Now you tell me! Was asked for the 'password' at the sistic outlet when purchasing my ticket but didn't have none at the time. So was charged $140 instead of the advertised $125

You from LAMC? Can I get my money back?

Was looking for the new LoG album at local CDs stores last weekend, dun have lei... Will they be selling it at the concert?

Hermi, is that you from MCF? It's me, Turbo, bro. ;)

Am definitely going to see Opeth. Hopefully, since this is their first time in Sg, they'll be playing some of their heavier classics. Damn frus if they stick to Heritage and Damnation. Sad that you won't be joining me. :( There's a guy selling his ticket cheap here, don't know if you're keen to try that.

I've listened a little more to Lamb Of God at your suggestion. Sorry bro, not my bag. Way too metalcore/nu metal. Can't decide if it wants to be Pantera or Deicide, but falls way short of both. :p Either way, their technical artistry is not "up there", know what I mean?

JP - they're good, but I was never really into them. Jugulator is the only album that's heavy enough for my tastes (of the ones I've heard). Oh well...

Still thinking hard about whether to attend the JP/LoG gig, not quite decided yet, haha.

Haha! Yep, so you found me eh?! Too bad you didn't like LoG, sure you didn't listen to the evangelical ones by mistake?! Have to disagree that they fail to meet the mark in terms technical musicianship though. Very quick, very precise, and very nice are likewise very hard to pull-off mate! Have to admit that their music is quite repetitive though. Perhaps that's what you meant by 'artistry'? Or lack thereof rather.

Where did you see the cut-rate Opeth tickets? One thing about them is that their music is seldom, if ever, the same. From track to track, they've got a very different, very distinctive style & sound. A bit draggy though, and not very demanding for the musicians. Save for the song-writing part of course! Still, worth a go to be sure. IF the price is right... Haha!
