Hey guys! I am planning to get my first bass effect pedal, the boss overdrive. Is 111 a good price for a first hand boss bass overdrive pedal? Thanks in advance

why are you getting an overdrive?

your first bass pedal should be a compressor or a chorus.....

another advise dished out by ....

cause i was planning to cover some songs from metallica, and managed to found out that overdrive is one of the major effects they used.

and is it true that the overdrive can be tweaked till to produce the fuzz effect too?

do correct me if i wrong about this, thanks

Fuzz

Overdrive MAY be tweaked to produce a Fuzzy effect if it can clip enough of your signal to make it a square wave, but the end result is usually not as desirable as a fuzz pedal itself. What happens is you get a major loss in bottom end and end up sounding like a mess of noise.

Bottom line- get a fuzz.
