preparing for lasalle

Hi guys! I'm am a level grad this year and waiting to go army! I've decided to go lasalle after army to take up music technology as I am super interested in music mixing and production! But here's the catch. Ive got NO music certs. Despite that I do have music background as I am in my school band and have been in band for 6 years. My conductor advice me to jump grades for theory. So I can meet the requirement for abrsm grade 6 theory by the time I come out. But here's my question. Do I need to master an instrument for the audition? Since I have 2 years I think I should be able to pick it up by then. And can any one share the process of the audition? I really wana get in the college badly! Much help needed!!! Hey, i wanted to apply this year but i decided not to. Had a chat with the admissions. IIRC, music tech must show your mixing skills etc... Like record your self on various instruments and piece them tgt. I'm not really too sure exactly but you can just give them a call. Very informative.

End of the day, you music technology portfolio is most important. DO NOT SKIP GRADES, this will make your basics weak, as the advanced topics are built upon the basics. Do PM me if you need more information
