I am new to this studio thing so can someone enlighten me. If me and my band wanna go practise in a studio. Do i have to book earlier, or do i just go there and book a room? And do they provide guitars, drums etc..??

You can try going there and walk in to book say on weekdays morning or afternoons shouldn't be a problem, most studios have slots on those timings.

Its advisable to book first. esp for evenings and weekends

Studios provide drums and amps (usually 2 guitar and one bass amp)some studios provide keyboard as well but not all, so check in advance if you need one.
Most will provide really shitty guitars (Samick etc. with rusty strings) for you to use as well if you are too lazy to bring/don't have your own.

Scape studio actually have some Gibson guitars that you can borrow for jamming, but they are not well maintained so it kinda makes it no point

Yes they do provide all the instruments. Book earlier..
some i recommend are odiocrib and fourtones.. (fourtonesmusic.com and odiocrib.com)

if u stay at the east area, you can go to wee lee(the one at simei).. the cheapest room would be $10/hr i suppose havent been there in awhile since the facilities there are rather poorly cared and maintained

Well maintained guitars are important. In fact all jamming equipments must be well maintained. If u r lazy to bring ur own, go to studios that practice regular good maintenance. eg, no rust on guitar strings, no cracked cymbals, etc..

I cant mention the studio names here, or else ppl will say cheap, or rather, free advertisement. hahah..

^ True, you'ill ruin their reptutation

Average fee for jamming studio is around $20/hr - $25/hr bah, its still affordable for a 4 piece or 5 piece band
