Everdying New member Mar 12, 2007 #4 well his wasnt, not a new model anyway. was done pretty cheap cos thru a friend. he had to buy string ferrules from stewmac for the back too... its not that hard to do, just have to make sure the poly lacquer at the back doesnt crack badly.

fgl Well-known member Mar 12, 2007 #5 can be easily done - I've done before but best to have a drill press to ensure the holes you drill in body are absolutely straight... its a crucial aspect. Tone / sustain wise, top load would be better imho
