I have a Seagull M6 which I really love.. .it's the first thing that I actually bought with my own money hehe... but recently I've got a electric and I find that electric is so much easier to fret that acoustic. Is it possible to get an acoustic set up so that it can get close to the electric setup?

Epiphone Chet atkins SST. I tried one at allmusic in parklane. But that guitar is almost strictly for stage use.

Also one thing about acoustics and electrics is that, when u want to warm up or put your fingers into shape, the acoustic you have will come in very handy and you will definitely improve in terms of playing your electric.

so far only Taylors have very low action but still retain a very good sound. the ones i tried that is... but i guess the tech at Sinamex (Malcolm rite?) might be able to help u with ur guitar setup. another option is changing to thinner strings.

But IMHO, i feel that higher strings on acoustics (and to a certain extent, electrics) give better sound, sustain and tone. Same with the string gauges, thicker strings has got better sound, sustain and tone.

if you are interested in getting another guitar which is accoustic but has a neck feel of an electric, the Fender Stratocoustic/ Telecoustic models might be for you...

Haha.. no dun give me more GAS.. just wan my current acoustic, which I like a lot, to play better...
I tried sanding down the underside of the bridge, it becomes lower, but I'm afraid of sanding down too much until the first few frets got fret buzz.
Anything else I can do?

have u tried thinner strings?

sometimes the neck is not properly set up, that might add to the action being high. or the nut is cut too high from the factory.

try sending it to Sinamex at Parklane, the guitar doctor there (Malcolm rite?) might be able to help u.

Hi,

Malcolm here. I work from home and am not related to Sinamex.

lppier, your guitar needs to be properly set up in order for it to play comfortably. E-mail me via my website or empty71 at hotmail dot com

there used to be some @ swee lee but i don't see anymore around. there's this handicap busker @ orchard rd who's a lefty & plays a red telecoustic...

.

trial & error - sand doen bottom part of saddle (nvr the top) little by little - test fit over & over again until satisfied...

However lower the strings...the les the projection while struming...

The action is actually not that high, but I was wondering if it could be lower and as easy to play as my Godin electric's fingerboard...

Hee.. then when do I stop? When the fret buzzes...? I'm scared that I spoil the guitar...
