Hi all, wish to open more slots to people who are keen to learn pop piano.
I teach solely pop piano. What you hear today (Jpop, Kpop, Mandopop) are all Pop music.
I major mainly in chinese music, but because pop music is universal, i teach everything about pop you wish to learn.
Generally to people who wish to be able to Play & Sing.
Ranging from beginners to advanced piano players (those classically trained, who wish to open up to learn pop music which is a total different culture and art) who wish to learn Pop Music.
I believe Pop piano is never about reading off your scores, but its more to Playing-By-Ear, and Improvisation.
To learn a song instantly by just listening a couple of times. I also impart Pop/Jazz theory which I always believe is very important to one's learning.
PAST PERFORMING EXPERIENCES:
Played with INK Band/Velvet Band at Dragonfly; St James Powerstation from Jun'08 - Mar'10.
Played with 天枰乐团 at Bar 98; Marina Mandarin Hotel (Beside Avatar) from May'11 - Sep'11
Played as Happy Hour Keyboardist at Lunar Asian Fusian Bar; Clarke Quay from Jan'11 - Sep'11
Played as a substitute keyboardist at various nightspots in singapore. (Shanghai Dolly, EZ50 Music House etc.)
