Poll: Emma reezafratzitz V1 vs Seventhheaven new limited edition version (red & gold)

Hi guys,

I know both are great distortion pedals, but just checking out the opinions of others regarding these 2 pedals. If you have to choose one, which would it be? and why? If u happen to own both of them, I would love to know which one u will pick.

Currently, I own 2 of them. Basically the reezafratzitz v1 sounds thicker, great for leads but not so define for playing chords (rhythm) , but it gives that great "chug" sound, Marshall sounding. The New Seventhheaven is great for rhythm, notes are clear, Marshall sounding, versatile but sounds fizzy and bad for leads.

I have a buyer which wants to purchase my 7th heaven for 335 which is a very good deal. Shld I sell the reezafratzitz for 200 or the 7th heaven? One of them has to go due to low on cash. Or since I have the limited edition of the Seventhheaven (red & gold) shld I keep it? Or maybe u can suggest a better pedal which gives me a marshall sound, great rhythm and lead sound, high gain, versatile, thick, high mids and amp like pedal.

Ur opinion is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

You should get the white 7thvn. it sounds better. HAHAHAHAHAHA kidding. Just keep the 7thvn and use another drive pedal to stack for lead tones.

I've just tried it, it still sounds thin no matter how i tweak it compared to the reezafratzitz.

My chain, Epip les paul standard-korg pitch black-barber tone press-joyo vintage od-Plexi drive-seventh heaven-emma reezafratzitz-bbe sonic stomp- ehx memory boy-crate amp 15w.
The seventh heaven doesnt sound thick compared to the emma idk why.

keep the emma, its more versatile and hotter pedal

IMHO, sell both, then buy the latest emma reezafratziz v2

have u tried okko dominator and blackstar HT blackfire? these 2 are my fav pedals now.
If you want to try can come my house try, can bring your pedals to compare side by side too.

I've thought of selling both and buy the v2 too! Maybe i will do that, currently what is ur favorite dist/od pedal?
Nope i have not, I dont mind. Contact me at 91713533

strange, I have never in the last few years experienced any thinness with the 7th either. If you want more saturation, stick a Tubescreamer style overdrive before it.

Play around with it a little more and tweak til you get your desired tone, the options are endless but you just need to spend time to really sit down with it and tweak.

Ohh hello James, what amp did u run it thru? I think it's only great thru a tube amp. Just askin what is ur favourite main dist/od?

I tried the Weehbo SLO drive last sun and I have to say it's one of the most versatile and best sounding pedals I've ever tried. I was able to tweak a variety of tones out of it, from blues rock type tones ala john mayer and jjoe bonamassa, to tight and percussive tones eg. Nuno bettencourt, to even djent tones eg. Misha mansoor. Have been gassing for that pedal since then. Plus it has an internal voltage doubler which gives you more headroom at 18v, more saturation at 9v.
I also like the fact that I'm able to mix 2 diff drive sounds, the 'overdrive' and 'crunch' control. The crunch control gives you a more chunky and tight tone, while the overdrive gives you a thicker lead tone.

This is a pedal I'll definitely get!

Isn't that kind of like the Wampler Slostortion? i sold mine and got a Mojohand Rook instead, realise the wampler slo is too much for me, as i have the 7thvn too. But i must say it really gives nice lead tones :)

At home I run it through a Vox AC4TV into a Blackstar 212 or my Axe Fx II into studio monitors.

Live.. it's usually a Line6 Flextone amp or whatever amp the venue provides. It sounds huge and full enough for me even with just one 12" speaker.. (I run the cab in mono at times) When I get to use 412s with it and crank up.. The fun begins!

Before the Vox AC4TV, I had the Fender Frontman 15G and the Vox Pathfinder both Solid State amps and the 7th sounded great through them too.

My fave main dist/od is.. The seventh haha. but I'm quite liking the KULT now though! Great pedal.

Haven't actually tried the slostortion, but I think it sounds more amp like, and has more amp like features as well. Ever since I used my old Jet City 50W head and tried the SLO100 and soldano avenger, I've always been looking for that soldano tone. Right now my Laney Ironheart covers all bases for me.

I owned the seventheaven in the past the black one though i think i may know what you are referring to as "thin" anyway i'll usually kick an ocd tgt with the seventh they sound fantastic together
i've tried the emma too and i just wanna say it's a great pedal you really cant go wrong with it or like james suggested you can get the kult haha
i'm currently using the kult and i've got no complains
it's one hell of a beast it can do what the seventh+ocd does for me all in a single box
but i must say i didnt really like the newer version of the seventh it actually sounds slightly different from the prev versions to me at least

Ohh thanks for the opinion! The slo sounds great, tried before! However it's not my preferred pedal tho, as Im into more Marshall like sounds! I've tried the seventh heaven on a marshall amp today at gig vols, what I can say is, it's quite fizzy compared to the Emma. The Emma gives u that beefy sound. Yeah true I agree that the new seventh heaven sounds diff from the old version. I shall try the kult one day. I've heard the blues cleans, they are awesome! Very full sounding. I think I've decided to sell the seventh heaven. Thanks a lot guys! Now I'm looking at the calilnbread galileo! Anyone tried it?

It sure does sound fizzy to me fr the seventh. However, ur Lift The Name - New Life Worship - (Guitar Lesson/Tutorial) Duesenberg Starplayer TV video sounds awesome! May I know ur settings and setup? Idk why but the Seventhheaven so far only sound great on tube amps when I tried it.

Both my guitarist and me used the seventheaven into crappy solid state amps provided at the venue in the youtube link below....And I don't think you can say our sound was 'thin and fizzy' by any means.

In fact, I think we managed to clearly differentiate ourselves from the other bands as the 7th provided the much-needed clarity to cut through the mix while keeping the tones clear, distinct and separate.
