Hey, to all you pod xt live users out there, anyone wanna share patches?I'm currently looking for a nice metal distortion, blues tone and clean tone.If any of you guys feel like sharing some patches just email me at MikeV35@gmail.com.Thanks guys.

yeah, alot of people recommend the metal pack. shall look into to it later, gotta
keep the money for a new guitar first :D the basic packs that come with it are pretty damn good anyway....

yeah, haha.realised they were crap after going through 7 pages and not finding anything decent, haha.is the mesa mark rhythm thing your patch? the After track is killer man, love your tone.

nevermind custom tone! let's start our own mini community here, and lets not leave the rest in the pod family!

to the guy who's looking for a metal tone, i dialed up a rather nice harsh tone... i'll send it to you once i book out :D

actually it sounds good at my place, i dont know about yours... but i tried to achieve something harsh yet clear sounding at the same time.. im looking for an overdriven lead tone, already manage to get a high gain one, so looking for one clean lead and overdriven lead tone

Yup, I'm using that patch as my main distortion, but depending on the live settings, I normally will need to tame the treble and presence.

yeah, I myself don't carry my own amp to gigs thus the different amps provided have different EQ's . I just send my POD XTL through the return jack of the amp.good to go with some minor tweaking.

Not exactly...
I was talking about running the xtl direct to the mixer, anything that goes through the mixer will sound piercing, and your lows and mids might be gone, so paying extra attention to the treble is always a must while playing through the house mixer, bump up your lows and mids if there's a need to.

If I do play through an amp, I'll try to get a usable sound by tweaking the eq on the amp. Never really liked to rely on the effects loop, I've had my fair share of non-working effects loop.

Find a patch you like, and tweak it yourself, you'll learn quite some stuff in the process.
