PocketPOD Express vs Amplug

Heyy guys, for all of yall with either of the two, PPE or Amplug, could you guys give some feedback on 'em?

While the PPE is about twice the price, it has many effects and 'amps' modelled... The Amplug seems to be more specified. Does this make the Amplug's tone more appealing than that of the PPE? Which one would be a better buy?

The Amplug offers only 1 tone: what its stated on the thing itself. The PocketPod offers much much more, effects and distortions, basically a whole suit of functions and tones in a pocket-sized package. I'd go for the PocketPod. The issue of appealing tone is really up to you, i suggest you go down to Citymusic and try both out, see which one you prefer. However, the ability to jam right out of my pocket is really a boon.

the pocket POD express has more features, no doubt, but they are fundamental & limited in parameters. if you can live with those restrictions, it'd make a great practice supplement. the amPlug is unifunctional- you simply get the amp tone with no other extras.
