According to Akien, "Diary of Resolve" is an inspiration from the story of Singapore. In our history, Singapore saw racial riots in 1950, July and September 1964. It caused hurts, deaths and fear in everyone. Through the trials and tribulations, Singapore has come a long way to attain its harmony today.
His song is a depiction of our nation's different cultures that co-exist and flourish together. Henceforth serves as a tune that reminds us all, our lives is a continuous effort involving everyone
