Plastic body?

i have seen guitar and other instruments being made of acrylic. isit possible to make a whole bass, not the neck(mine is a SR300) in to a acrylic? how will it affect the sound? isit possible , and how much will it cost if i asked some1 to do it (if there is some 1 that does it ) im just curious , if any1 can help me out please do , just want to know if its possible

I have an acrylic guitar which I am trying to sell.sustain is too good and long.a guitar shop at peninsula once had an acrylic bass selling at 1200 it was sold off a year ago.I once ask a shop in kaki bukit if I can order an acrylic guitar case and was given a price of 1300.Now the best part,my guitar weigh about 2 gibson less paul guitar.
