During the first few sessions when you are training your pinky to do hammer ons and pull offs, does it hurt? Does the pinky skin harden eventually after a few more sessions?

my index finger ( me bass) has suffered rapid skin peeling ... like after i jam blisters form , once got blood clot inside and the skin keep peeling off ..

is there something wrong with my playing technique ? frens who see me play say its my technique ... too heavy on e strings anybody got any idea ?
