Pickups for Les Paul

What pickups do you guys think goes best with Les Paul?

i'm with beckerfan...

i'm not a Gibson fan but IMO the Gibson 500T/ 496R is one heck of a complementary pair. i'm a high gain kinda person & i like these high output units in a Les Paul because the guitar needs clarity, which IMO other Gibson pickups don't quite possess (less the Tony Iommi signature humbuckers but i haven't heard these in a Les Paul)...

The 496R and 496T have got all the gain you will ever need. The 500T/ 496R work so well together like the ToneZone and Air Norton, ummm high output-y

I prefer Seymour Duncan. With regards to the poll, the les paul itself if set up properly can sustain real well, so there ain't really a need for a sustainer. Just try as many as possible, and see which you really like.
