if you rewind pickups it will just change their tonal characteristics. you don't rewind dead pickups. you remagnetise them.

I was around when Seekz was winding his own tele pickups. I'm very sure he'll know what to do, and you can tell him what flavour you like I'm sure he'll get you that.

Hi, may I know in what ways are the pickup dead? Lose its magnetism, shorting of the windings, winding breakage etc?
