People who looking for bandmates

Its just so sad when u can't find anyone who has the same interest as u.

Like eg. u don't have a complete line up..


Common problems.. looking for bassist here and there.. sometimes guitarist,drummer and keyboardist.. even vox..


When u wish to be in a band or open a band, and u couldn't find any members who has the same interest as u.. thats really2 sad..

and sometimes it makes u feel like loosing hope abt this band stuff..


So.. wad do u think about it.?

i donno, i gave up long long lonnnggg time ago... searching for members for my band i mean

you could try writing your own songs, recording, send them off for gig slots, and when you're selected more ppl will offer to help one gig commitment.. i mean.. that sucks but it happens and it's the closest we can get to reaching a full lineup sadly lol..

I know how you feel. I've been trying to find ppl who share some common influences. I remembered posting an ad here once. and the reply i got was that the people have never heard of my band influences. sad really.....

Yknow just a thought, it'd be interesting if all the peeps who can't find members with the same taste of music form a band together and fuse.

I wonder how that'll sound like. Should be interesting.... hmm...

lol i took like two months to find my full lineup.

everybody i asked said paramore wasnt their thing.

haha but the wait was definately worth it.

these guys are in it for the long run and theyre an awesome bunch to hang out with too

first you have to know what you want.

Do you want to be just a strict cover band? If you do, then it's very important that you find people with exactly the same interests.

Do you want to write your own songs and develop your own identity? If you do, sometimes it's more refreshing to meet people with different influences.

Personally in my band, I was into traditional rock, blues, thrash metal, alternative and j-rock. My drummer was into techno, pop, pop-punk and christian music. My guitarist was into neo-classical/virtuosic stuff. Yet we managed to play together, and eventually learn alot from each other!

But don't ever give up!

My current band, we all do have our disagreements and shit, but after abit of bickering we do get the job done, oh, and their great friends as well. Its really more about personal relationships with the band members lah. Though i must say we all have the same interest when we formed up

Other members having different interests yet good chemistry might make your band's music more unique and distinctive because of influence. Sometimes its good, sometimes bad. But hey, who wants to sound like everyone else?
