Hello,
Recently, I connected my Edwards LP and X3 Live to this Peavey KB100 very old (>10yrs, and made in USA). I did this just once and will try it again. I had the Reverb on '0', Volume at '2 oc', and the rest of the knobs in various trying positions. Place was old church hall like that of a school hall. The X3 master volume was at '10 oc'.
What I hear is very similar or close to what I get from the headphones but I just felt enough flatness to take the mood away.
My discussion points are as follows:
1. has anyone done this or on a similar amp? What were your reactions/ecnounters?
2. what are the EQ settings (on the KB100) to consider?
3. my regular amp is a Peavey Special 130 (just as old) and it sounded better.
I will do the same but with my Vox Tonelab LE next just to see if I can get the warmth from the LE into this amp.
