Peachy Pop! is happening this weekend at The Esplanade Outdoor Theatre!
And now, we present to you the music makers at Peachy Pop!
Ballads of the Cliche (Indonesia) : Performing as an 8-piece in Singapore, Ballads of the Cliche's music is best described as folk pop, gentle sounds inspired by the likes of Burt Bacharach, The Carpenters and The Beatles. This hardworking band has been around and gigging since 1998. Recommended tracks: 'Old Friend' and 'Jennifer Loves Hewitt'.
The Fake (Indonesia) : The Fake is a guitar-playing duo with the sweetest and most melancholic indiepop melodies. Expect a surprise opening performance.
The Oddfellows : Singapore's pioneering "indie" musicians since 1988, with the chart-topping radio hit 'So Happy', The Oddfellows will perform together for the first time in 5 long years! Go here to have a listen!
Serenaide : A crowd favourite with the very popular tune 'Girl From Katong', Serenaide has also previously played in music festivals in Thailand & Indonesia. A much awaited return to the Esplanade stage.
My Writes : Promising young band with lots of memorable tunes, including 'Love in the 60's' and 'Red Tracks', My Writes is a band for the future!
purplepaige : The dreamy sounds of purplepaige is a sure-winner if you love soundscapes and a little shoegazing, another promising outfit. Recommended tracks: 'Suzie on Monday Morning' and 'Interlude'.
Elektone : Indie guitars with dance beats, Elektone is another promising young act. Having opened recently for Jens Lekman, this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to catch them live.

Also, do look out for our merchandise booth at Peachy Pop! especially anyone who wishes to sample and bring home our kind of pop! music. There will be records (EPs, albums etc) and merchandise on sale from the bands appearing at Peachy Pop! as well as Fruit Records' releases and many other titles. Peachy Pop! 'Twee Like Me!' Afterparty @ Barbaablackchic, Feb 10th, 11pm

What better way to end the evening after the event on Saturday than to join us at our Twee Like Me! afterparty, upstairs at Barbaablackchic. The pop! continues with our guest DJs, from Tokyo, Toshiko of Apple Crumble & Rosemary Records and The Goodtimes Trio of Ballads of the Cliche as well as sets by Twee Like Me! regulars. Food's great, drinks are cheap! A perfect excuse to chill the rest of the evening away!
