hi again guys... just visitted guitar77 earlier today, and tried a few guitars under a budget of 1k. my aim was to find a strat that i really liked around that area, (with davis and all the other guitar stores around) but i was recommended a parker guitar.

model's a P-42.

its really light, and i was amazed by its tones that it could produce. custom wound humbuckers with a split mode... it was really very versatile and comfortable...
i'm wondering why so little ppl are using this brand of guitars but instead going so readily for strats and les pauls...

also thinking if there are many other parker guitar uses out there, and whether i could get any additional info on these guitars? thanks guys...

P.S, the higher end p44 looks really good.. and i think it'll sound fantastic too...with the fishman piezos.. what do u think?

cool.. its under the P series too? which is supposingly cheaper then the US made ones i suppose..

yup but not much details on the "upgraded" p series bridge yet. I think* p series have 3 different generation of bridges, i believe the one u saw in g77 is the 2nd one. the 3rd gen have yet to be released but during this year namm the p series that they showcase have bridges that look like trem on nitefly. I think you could browse around the parker forum, frankly i got not much idea on parker as well

parker fly..its an US made one right? pretty ex...
guess the sale is over already... ahha.

yea the one i tested was 999 too. the fishman piezos are so.. tempting.

Correct me if I am wrong, the cheaper ones are Korean made??

I tried one which is Korean made, red finishing one..

re_unknown: go buy ur TGM lah..

yep, they're korean made... red one? haha thats quite vague... is it one with a stoptail bridge or trem? and is it a singlecut shape or the original fly shape??

haha chill with re_unknown... nth's wrong with what he posted... so far.

i am chilling :)

i tried the set neck Parkers, Hornet series if I am not wrong..

Awesome, but as usual, tak $$.

i have got a parker with the tele config and i have to say, these guitars are very very well made and for the price that 77 selling at, totally worth it...

ebony gives it a very smooth feel, almost plastic to me... but it makes it unique and a very different kind of instrument. the thin bodies too..

subversion said something about the previous models having glued on frets, does anyone have past experiences with them?
