Paintjob for bass

Hi all,
As above, does anyone know anywhere in Singapore that does paintjobs for guitars? And if so, roughly how much?
Thanks!

Guitar Connection is amazing at guitar painting services. Chat with them for a price quote, friendly guys they are.

Tried asking them once....for a minor 2-3 mm in diametre paint chip....it cost 80 dollars...

But then they also suggest that it's not worth it for my case....

Such question always pops out once in while.

Put it this way:
For a cheap guitar/bass, DIY, becos chances are you don't have the budget to get it done professionally, plus, it's not worth it.
For something that is high-end, yes, send it to the pros for the pro-level standard.

So, Crimsonfart, which bass you gonna spray? Your Yamaha? :p

@1mband
Yeah. I'm actually quite happy about the tone that it's able to give me, the only thing that I dislike about the bass is the natural finish. I find it very plain, so I want to either sell it or get a paintjob. What do you think?

I find natural finish to be anything but plain. It's usually the high end instruments that have natural finishes!

TS,

Actually, your Yamaha RBX270J's natural finish is quite nice.
Spray-paint it means you will lose that smooth finish.

If you still wanna do it, look thru' the RBX270J's factory finish options.
Choose a color that Yamaha don't offer for the model, that will really make yours unique.
e.g. surf green, baby blue.

:)

Refinishing a guitar is tough work. although guitar stores will charge you somewhere along the $300 region, it's so much easier to pay them that amount of money as compared to doing everything yourself. Guitar Connection does great spray jobs. You can even specify the finish you want (poly/nitro/matt).

Refinishing is very time consuming and it takes a long time for the paint to dry completely. make sure you have a spare bass.
