Own Dave Mustaine's guitars

I guess he must be broke or something. MD well past their heyday now (sadly) and he had some lawsuits with Junior... dunno how that's going...

it might be an attempt to erase traces of bad memory, like Petrucci & Gambale both got rid of their Ibanez to eliminate bitter remnants of their past... tsk, tsk...

Yeah, he should really keep them, I mean, you don't see Page and Clapton selling their guitars because of unhappy memories.

Well, you see Clapton selling his - not because he needs money though - I think that money goes to charity.

I think what Sub is alluding to in terms of unhappy memories is that these brands are the ones they no longer endorse. Mustaine - Jackson, Petrucci - Ibanez, etc.

wat bitter remnants? could u fill me in? kinda in the dark. ahaha.

if you wanna know about the Petrucci/ Gambale rift with Ibanez:

*Petrucci left because Ibanez was unwilling to grant him a signature model (how unfortunate), particularly a 7-string version, due to the rights involved (no prizes for guessing the player involved). if i were Ibanez, i'd reconsider....

*Gambale left Ibanez because he wanted some marked changes to his signature guitar, which the manufacturer frowned upon. refer to his current Yamaha FGM, you'll see some intelligent revisions in design & features. this was really unfortunate because the Ibanez S-series now has no dedicated ambassador to propel the guitar which IMO is now a dismal offering in the Ibanez range...
