Hi

Any of u people know wat happened to Ossuary? Their original drummer Sharil was one hell of a player!!! Crazy odd signature timing double bass assaut. Did they have a reunion or something?I think their last gig was in 2001/2003 ?
Any news?

Once U saw him play, then U'll know wat those words mean...

I once did a drum-tech thingy for him for a Ngee Ann Poly gig at the old Octagon, i literally sat behind his kit in case he needs any assistance. And those legs of his are faster than Road Runner and Wild'e Coyote combined.

And I'm not exagerating either.

When the first time Ossuary played in KL. Their virgin gig in KL, no one there had heard their music live and when the moment they played their first song, the crowd was awed!! All like zombies! All stoned!

When Shahril was doing recording session for now defunct Manifest, I had an honour of watching him play from the very beginning of the song writing process to the very end product and it was an eye-opener for me..

Its a pity dat the metal masterpiece was never released bcos of the abrupt disband of Manifest. It would have been a Monster song..

Ossuary debut album was highly recommended by international metal magazine Metal Edge.

I still have the Ossuary Cd with me..

I really agree with U bro!!

ossuary is a good band. i enjoyed headbanging to their tunes back then. but i've got questions.

how many releases does ossuary have?

why did the band like as if R.I.P from the scene until someone from this forum create an Ossuary thread?

now i heard these talented guys got an upcoming gig. what took the band so long?

its a sad script if i have to say that a lot of good pioneer bands like Ossuary becoming lazy to promote themselves in our Singapore Metal Scene. Yes, metal maniacs know them but we as true metal fans don't know whether does the pioneer bands still exist or not. from time to time again, even I'm getting lazy to be bothered by such bands as these. but its a great pleasure to really hear updates from other pioneer bands such as these.

Abhorer - dead but still got split with Ironfist.
IMPIETY - new album coming out soon and touring europe.
Rudra - new album coming out soon.
Ironfist - new album coming out soon and touring asia.
Meltg Snow - new lineups.

Other than the bands mentioned above, i believe the others pioneer Metal bands are lazy and can't be bothered or they are too busy with their working lives, wives and other hobbies. To me there's only a few true cult Singapore Metal bands that are worth mentioning and finding. I'm still wondering whatever happened to

Eibon (great Black Metal band),
KSK (doomy black metal),
Doxomedon (superb death thrash metal),
Demonification (great old school thrash metal),
Metalheadz (metallica fanatics),
Raspatul (power thrash metal),
Dethmute (death thrash),
Axed Minister (megadeth riffs),

If any of u know what happened to the mentioned bands, pls tell me. Thanks.

i remember sitting down @ the World Trade Centre (pre-Harbour Front days... nostalgia, nostalgia...) amphiteater listening to Ossuary. the drummer was an attraction per se for the band but the rest of the players were equally skillful despite getting lesser lime-light.
