only for DreamTheater Die hards.

Great playing. Everything's spot on.

But it's not his real drum sound though. It's him playing along to the full music, not minus one. Notice there's no mic-ing at all and the drum tones sound exactly like Portnoy's. Would be better if his drums were recorded live.

That aside, great playing nontheless. Thanks for sharing :)

amazing! seriously.. this guy can get endorsed by zildjian or something anytime if he sends in this video

oh im sorry, an add on, check out e rest of his videos, he has like 4 drumkits? all in the portnoy styled setup..

i dunno how to play drums so i ask..
when did he tune his snare for the metallica medley? coz all of the sudden the tone change..

look at this 12yr old kid. primary 6?

The kid in the video is now ard 19 to 20 yrs old.

His name is Tony Royster Jr. A student of Dennis Chamber.
When he was just 12, he was endorsed by DW and Zildjian.
The drums in the video was Dennis's drum when they performed together at a drum festival in 99.

uh no, actually, if you look at e drums, its not micked up, so its like he plays e drums on top of the background music.. as such, e sound you hear of the snare is mike portnoys snare and drum sound.. its more like, watching him play drums and not hearing his drum sounds

strongly second that. he also do make some funny face in fron of camera and leaving a note at a snare if u really look closer...
