OM : My Guitar Playing (Any band interested?)

hi chia & fendi,these r some samples of my guitar playing to gauge my 'standard'...hope it's gd enough 2 jam wif u guys...just don pay attention 2 d bad mixing & my crappy singing ...all drums were not programmed (i recorded 'live' on Korg Triton kybd,then lay track by track direct into a Roland DAW...used JEM Jr with just d Roland's built-in-efx...i'd appreciate if u just concentrate on my guitar solos... :lol:

& to all my fellow softies,feel free to comment too...btw,i'm looking 2 join a band & at d same time learn how 2 play guitar from Shredcow... rayer:

Sample #1 - Paul Gilbert's rock version of "To Be With You"

Sample #2 - Paul Gilbert's "Double Trouble" (sori PG,i made a mess of this one,pls don sue me...& pardon my crappy sweeping,i guess i shd learn 2 sweep d floor 1st lah :lol: )

Sample #3 - "Roland Song" (i just played d guitar solo on this one;backup trx courtesy of Roland DAW software)

...so how,any band got guitarist vacancy slot open 4 me?

didn't win of coz but glad 2 make friends wif so many talented axemen... most being happy 2 take consol prize from Sheehan 2 watch Vai & company rock d house at Suntec

My band looking 4 lead gtr player but u r so out of our league (we're beginners lah)...Maybe i can learn a bit frm u? (me play rhythm) Btw i just joined soft 2day,fancy meeting u here

thnx yan...chia is bass74...he & Fendi (drum) looking 4 guitarist 2 jam some kind of prog rock...try try 4 fun lah,who knows can 'ngam' 2gether...i oso searching 2 form lineup something like crossbred or skyjuice (i play covers 99% of d time coz i'm bad at composing original stuff but i'm open 2 playing originals)

iz dude,dis weekend i may be jamming with a grp of guys (time & venue not confirmed)...will be doing a couple of Vai songs like Liberty,Bangkok/Fire Gdn Suite,Crying Machine & maybe Under Glass Moon (DT),Road 2 Ruin & Green Tinted (Mr Big) if their vox can book out of camp...if confirmed i'll pm u,hope u can come down & jam as well...

MrRhoads,i'm not sure it's d same Fendi or Affendi dat u r talking abt here coz i've not met him yet...so far only corresponded with chia oni lah...wat i know is dis Fendi will be enlisted soon in Dec i tink...so is it d same guy?

Hmm not sure, i haven seen him for ages. The fendi i know was studying tourism at a private school. He's into progressive rock too.

sori mate d jam was cancelled coz i was told bassist Ito went back 2 hometown Japan (family matters)...we can't find any1 to play vai/mr big songs at d last minute...
my evh wolfgang is in 'hospital'...neck got hairline crack lah so in d meantime i'm using my Jem
