sorry ah .. hahaha...

kantang: no prob lar, i take frustrating amounts of takes and retakes too. hee.

iansoh:

basically,
hardware: laptop l maudio FW410 l krk rokit 5 l alesis 8USB l maudio keystation 49e l sennheiser e835s, shure sm 58 l yamaha apx 6a l sammick bass l bose tripod headphones l sony DJ mix headphones

software: fxpansion bfd (acoustic drums) l NI guitar rig (guitars) l sony acid 5 l cubase LE l sound forge 7 l reason 2.5 l wavelab 5 l adobe audition 1.5 l NI Xpress keyboards VSTi soft synths

thanks. glad you like it.

heh :)

anyway i use fxpansion bfd (acoustic drums vst); i program the drums.

but the mics used were sennheiser md421, neumann km81, electrovoice re20 and akg 451 and AKG C-12 for overheads.

oh? those drums were programmed? wow.. sounded more like a well recorded set.

hmm.. now that u mention it, i recall u selling your drums away. don't have a kit of your own anymore?

aaron: eh, if it's a collaboration, sure. :) otherwise, i charge. hehehehe

iansoh: ya lor, sigh, had to sell it to set my "mini studio" up. wasn't teaching much anyways so the kit was very much a white elephant. i humanized the drums, so they don't sound mechanical. but they were sampled from real acoustic kits in the first place anyways. if i rem correctly i used a buddy rich classic snare, ayotte kick and toms, ziljian recording hats, k crashes and ride.

very cool.. one day you've gotta show me your studio and how you do your programming man. using tau geh is it?

dau geh? i've long left that behind ever since i left the orchestra.

me midi map my drums. heh.

btw Chan and i are working on another remake as we speak. hope to complete it within the next fortnight.
