my mate went to their place... he said the place was insane!!! was full of rock/punk/emo kids working at the place... one time, all the employees took the day off and the owner was all by himself!!! that simply shows that anybody can work at custom drum shops!! aha!!!
how i wish there's a place in singapore like that. making beautiful sounding drums.. and also maybe some RND? lol
yeah them oc people are crazy... making bong snare.. hahaha!! water goes in the bottom, pipe comes out... u know the drill. lol
*disclaimer*: no drug reference was used in this post. or else it would've been m18 to read.
Actually, truth drums are the cheapest among the rest of the brands here alr =/
craviottos are actually quite ok... they're just a bit more ex than DW snares. high 1k for a 2nd hand one in good condition from ebay if my memory doesn't fail me. me friend has one, and I have to say that the price tag is 100% justified!
u guys can check out conaway drums, raven drums and minuteman drums (if im not wrong)... these are also pretty good custom drum companies.
only thing i don't like about custom companies is that they're just using kellar maple shells, which effectively means that there'll be nothing significantly different between say conaway and sjc.
From what I read in PDF recently, Truth Custom drums has made their own shells and not sourcing from Keller anymore.
as for the white OC snare, i really dig it. I love the OC's tear-drop lugs. Simply gorgeous. But I hope it is a lacquer finish and not a wrap because i think for the same amount of money, you can easily get any high end snare drums from Pearl or Tama.
yea boy.. thats a mystery question..
but i do hv a friend who buys snare cos he thinks it goes well with the decor of the home decor. wierd habit though..
