1)I bought this really cheap guitar(Its from China),$43.When I play,I have to press the strings very hard and thus,my fingers turned red-ish purple and its pain.So what should I do?Should I change the strings to nylon?
If so,is there any place in the WEST that changes strings? How much would it be?

2)Im like so beginner that I dun know how to play anything, like I dun really know how to reconise notes like the 'G' note.....and now,im learning 'Your call' and 'The scienctist' but the problem is,I cant seem to change the keys fast enough.

Thx for all the replies.

1) nylon might help ease the pain a little, but the pain could be due to high action, or the fact that you're just starting and not used to the pain. also, you should learn to change the strings yourself otherwise it's really troublesome having to bring it to a shop every time a string snaps.

2) not really a question, but i guess all you have to do is practice and you'll get faster.

ohh..ok thx for your help.

1) Don't worry the pain is part of the process of guitar learning. No pain no gain! There are a couple of sites on the net, e.g. Youtube that has instructional videos on how to change the strings. I would not suggest changing to nylon strings on a guitar that originally came with steel strings. Not sure why, just a hunch that something bad may happen.

2) PRACTICE AND STOP SURFING THE FORUMS! With more practice you'll be able to recall the fingerings for the chords pretty easily, and you can also practice specific chord changes to improve your speed.
