hi, my fren offer me a trade on his i think korean made lakland 5string.. anyone has tried those lakland b4 n is it far away from USA model in quality n tone?

the lakland skylines are THE BEST built to come from korea....really!
only the body in 3 colours and the neck in maple or rosewood (due to mass production only flatsawn maple is used) and the nut & hardware is assembled in korea, the bartolinis are then installed in the USA lakeland factory. before shipping out, the bass is inspected by Dan Lakin (head of lakeland) whre all the fretwork is finished to lakeland standard.
the neck pocket is flawless (tight) and the fret worki is perfect.
all skylines c/w a trimpot (installed in USA).
the lakland is an all round versatile bass, u can get MM, split the coil and then u get jazz bass, P bass also can, hofner also can!
no regrets!!!
