About S.P.O.N.G.E
No strangers to the local scene, S.P.O.N.G.E. has performed at Suntec City, the Esplanade, HMV, and in 2007, they were one of the few bands chosen to be part of Noise Singapore’s The Apprenticeship Programme (TAP) under the tutelage of Nick Chan of Astreal and MUON fame. S.P.O.N.G.E. was set up in 2006, and after settling into the band’s current lineup, they have grown into their unique sound by utilizing elements from a vast range of influences. The band defies traditional genres of music with atmospheric lead melodies, a driving rhythm backbone and powerful vocals. S.P.O.N.G.E. is set to release its full album debut Frankel Avenue in Nov 2008.
