Hi guys,
Been a while since i last posted here. Just started on a new DIY project and decided to post the process here. I am fond of material finish and recently acquired an old 1982 Ibanez RG 550. It's still in the process of doing but will keep everyone update on the process. Enough talk, here are the pictures.

This is just after pasting the material on the body. Note that I did not include the process of paint stripping. I dun think anyone would really wanna see pictures of that :P

This is after a few initial coats of lacquer. This is to level out the cloth and to prepare for further lacquering and bursting.

After the bursting process. Lesson learned. Never burst with red that is this loud and... spray cans are hard to burst....

Well, that's all for now. Will update once there are more process..

Wow, love the look. I'm pretty sure it's the same kinda cloths the old peranakan women use for their apparel and such but you made better use of it.:p
How is it working on cloths for guitars? Must be helluva hard i guess, but great job on a traditional view on a contemporary instrument. Hope it turns out well.
