New boss looper, rc20XL

With the release of this rc20xl looper late 2004, i think this has got to be the longest looping stompboxes in the market. Its almost scary to see a 16min looping time 8O

A whooping 11mins more than the rc20. Looping gets a lil bit insane with this..

more than enough to loop a couple of 12 bar blues songs huh.

woah 16 minutes looping time...... the unit must be loaded with ram or something. i think like 1 song about 4 minutes you sample at 44.1khZ, 16bit will take up mayb about 40+ megabytes....so maybe it has like 160megs or ram or smoething in it !

but then again nowadays ram are cheap !

not too sure on the technology of such pedal. Wonder if theres a looper maybe in the future(or already has it) with interechangable chip to increase the looping time and such. It be fun

This rc-20xl can have many loops of 12 bar blues in a way, play a long long stuff from beginning to end, record it on to the looper. Let it run, while the player can go for a) toilet, B)smoke, c)meal break, d) take shower etc and then come back on time to continue entertaining the crowd with the rest of the band :lol:

yeah i'm not too sure about the technolgy of the looper....but i'm sure its digital .. and i don't think its like the old EH 16 sec looper......which uses d-ram or something... read somewhere about the EH one on a website where this guy was bitching about how hard it is to find parts and repair it !
