Need recommendations for Portable Guitar Case

Hi, http://www.artandlutherieguitars.com/tric.htm

I find the tric case a great product as it is lightweight strong and protects the guitar from rapidly changing weather conditions, however it seems that they only have case for acoustic guitar.

I was wondering if there are similar products for electrical guitar or perhaps other portable guitar cases you guys have to recommend. Thanks alot :D

TRIC cases are fine up until the point a crack happens, after which it's only a matter of time until it falls apart (I've witnessed it before). Lightweight, yes, durable, not so much.

We don't need cases that protect a guitar against extreme weather changes; Singapore only really has one season and it's either wet or dry. For all intents and purposes, we only really need water-proof cases for the rainy days (or when the drunkard spills his drink after a set). Mono or Fusion get my vote for favorite electric cases. My Mono double electric case has dropped before from the back of a van, and both guitars were dentless, and in tune when inspected during soundcheck.

Thanks vax for the sharing, yeah the mono cases are really nice, but really expensive too

When i carry my gear around i usually carry my effects in a shark pedalboard, which has bag straps as the effects are really heavy to carry my hand or by slinging around the shoulder

I would then carry my guitar in a gigbag by the handle. Thats why i felt the tric case design would have been wonderful for me since it has no bag straps and it seems to have enough protection against the knocks and bumps during transport. But bro van, thanks for the input, i think considering the fact that durability is an issue, perhaps i will stick to my gigbag or get a sturdier gig bag for now :D

I know it's not part of the topic, but I do like having shoulder straps for gig bags, so I can carry it on my back. Haha pedals can be put in an improvised school bag too, so if u strap it in front, you'll be able to free your hands. It looks nerdy but it's absolute best posture.

Hahahah yes i do agree that that would be the most ideal posture !!!! But could be abit restrictive in movement lah hahah imagine going through the mrt gate with that !

or you could drag it around the portable type of trolley they give for free when you buy printers at the IT fair!

Yup i used to do that actually in the past, when my effects board got really heavy and i only had the option of shoulder slinging it, but its hard to use that to go over stairs etc, however i saw one real cool trolley at cold storage that has a wheel system that is meant for dragging up the stairs

looks badass... I'm using the standard fender hard case, and it seems pretty durable n waterproof i guess? only one handle on the side, and 3 cliplocks (dont know if its what u call it) with the middle one having a keyhole for better security.

Hahah its e atas aunty market troller, sold at cold storage, not cheap though, i think a cool 30-40 bucks hahah. Ok i shall keep the fender hardcase in mind. Thanks

I think the typical SKB version of it would be cheaper than the Fender case that comes with the American Standard guitars.

These days, there are so many soft cases that are very well padded and can cost more than a generic hardcase. IMO, I think they are totally worth it. carrying a hardcase around can be very tiring.

Thanks bro, kindly noted. http://www.skbcases.com/music/products/proddetail.php?f=&id=22&o=&offset=4&c=75&s=75# this product looks interesting, slightly lighter than a non-flight hardcase. Anyone knows where is a good place to look at skb cases?
