Need Recomendation On beginner's Guitar

Hi guys

Im planning to start learning guitar and is hoping to get myself a guitar however i am totally new to guitar so i really have no idea how do i start. My friend actually told me to get a mid range guitar however i read thru the forums and realise from one thread that it might not be a good idea.

so here i am wondering as a beginner do i get a classical guitar or a acoustic guitar. And what guitar would you guys recommend to someone who is about to start learning..

But anyway, budget? Songs you wanna play?
Generally people start with acoustic if you wanna learn modern songs, classical if you wanna play, well, classical songs. Tone wise, acoustic is much brighter and crisp. Also note acoustic uses metal strings as opposed to nylon ones on classical. Trains your finger strength and develops calluses faster.

TS do you know the difference between classical and acoustic guitars?

diff in application?

diff in sound?

have u tried them?

if not, i'd suggest you go look them up through the internet and shops.

if yes, please tell us more of what u already know, and ur concerns.

im actually more interested in modern song then i guess it will be a acoustic guitar..... my Budget is around maybe 180bucks..
theunknown actually what i know is only the differences in strings used for the both guitar! however yea i will go read up more...
