Hi guys,

Just got my audiofire4, however the +48v phantom power indicator doesn't seem to light up, when i turn it on through the software console.

i tried turning it on
-without anything plugged in to the mic input (UNIV in1)
-with my acoustic guitar plugged into the mic input (UNIV in1) with a xlr cable

totally new to all this, am i missing something or a step?

Thanks, appreciate any help =D

"The compact format obviously necessitates some compromises in terms of physical controls. The limited metering is understandable and there are no physical switches for engaging the phantom power: this is done via the Audiofire 4 Console software. There is also no master volume control for the main audio outputs, so if you need to adjust overall playback levels it has to be done via the software."

thanks blueprintstudios for the quick reply,

yea, had been trying to enable the phantom power through the software console, but the +48v led indicator doesn't light up. =/

i guess its probably a hardware problem?

anyone had this problem before? did you set some other options to allow it to be enabled?

I have the same problem and have updated the drivers, but the phantom power still doesn't come on...

Any help would be much appreciated!

*Edit* - I use a mac, and it seems the driver version doesn't go up to the same as in Windows, maybe this is a factor...?

yea when i first plugged in, it automatically connected to the net and updated itself. but the phantom power didnt worked.

had to get a new updated .exe driver patch from them. which managed to get it fixed. (im not sure if they updated it on their site, the patch they gave me was 5.5.6, whereas the site only state 5.5)

i guess you probably need to get a mac update driver from them.

i bought mine from sales@swizer.com.sg
the support was helpful, so shouldn't be a problem, if you got it from them.
