Need help in making Band Tour in Thailand

As it stated, I'm planning to make a tour in Thailand with a few other friend's bands. The venue is not a problem because my uncle will settle the venue for me as he is a sound engineer himself who is also a thai and living there. I think I need some things which I got no idea how to do it.

Things I need and I need to know:
1. There will be like 20+ band members(says 5 bands) and friends going so there's a problem with the transport. I thought of hiring a coach but I don't know how to. Or is there a way I can work with a tour agency so that they can give me a package to help me out with this?

2. I may need a tour manager to do things because I'm in one of the bands and may be too busy to do too many things. Do you think I need some crews too?

3. Do you think I can get some sponsors to bare some of the costs?

4. I may also need 2 or 3 bands for standby just in case some of my friends bands back out. The people going are suppose to pay for their own air tickets, accomodation and of course the expenses(says shopping and food).

first of all, kinda depends on target audience (the general masses or the scene kids) and what kinda shows you wanna play eg the cosy as f DIY shows or the big big bangkok rock fest kinda scale shows. if you're looking for the diy scale kinda gigs, you can try getting these few people, who are experienced in matters pertaining to DIY touring in S.E.A :

Glenn : xbombergirlx@gmail.com
Shaiful : trashkore@yahoo.com
Arwith : MySpace.com - utarid:booking - Malaysia - Hardcore - www.myspace.com/utaridbooking

check this out also AirNinja.com - Fly Discount Airlines and Save if you wanna fly on a budget to anywhere in the world. again, if youre looking to tour SEA / Thailand and play no-nonsense diy shows, contact those few people. they are FTW.

haha.. hey johnny.. anyways.. yup travel agencies can help alot with the air tickets esp. when you're buying over 20 tickets... and it helps if you have contacts and say people to bring the bands around on the other side ( i mean thailand not hell )... =D

alright. i'll take that into consideration. btw, it's been long time since we meet lol. so armchair critic confirm on playing or not?

oh yeah, if youre thinking of performing elsewhere in the region, say australia or whatnot, Tenzenmen distro has put up quite good links on their site. this is kinda old, some of the information might be outdated, but from what i hear alot of people have used it to plan their way across asia (not just s.e.a). most of the links lead to indie labels / distros across this side of the world and most of them cater to hxc/hxc punk/etc bands. well, i see that armchair critic might be playing so, well, no offence, but there might be a genre clash somewhere somehow but no harm trying.

here's the link:

Thanks vx02, for being so helpful. You really are a great help.

Well, I don't see that different in genres will do any bad. I believe what we are all trying to make is music. Hardcore, punk, emo, indie, metal, rock... it's still music isn't it? I really hope that this tour can set a good example that no matter what genre you are playing, it's still music and people from different genre can unite as one and can still be friends. You see, Singapore's local scene is already small enough... I'm not trying to offend you or anybody so relax ah. I'm just saying what I think.

nono relax i'm open to all this, its just a word of warning as the scene elsewhere may not be as open as how we are. but based on those i've met, they've all been great and accomodating :D

if unsure, try going to thailand first, to check things out. Like how the people is like etc. and get to know more peeps there. Im sure they are frenly. Make more friends there. then invite them to your upcoming tours in thailand. And also, KL scene is not that bad either. Thats from what i heart la :) hehe..

CHEERS JOHN. My band wanna be part of it can/ i mean my new band.

Actualy, some of the bands over there know about this tour I'm making. They are my uncle's friends. So ya you know... I'm a Thai mixed myself. I'm going to settle the venue issue end of March. =D

Raman, see first. Wait til I get everything settled then I'll talk to you about it again. K?
