Hello there.
What is the difference between the mxr super compressor and dyna compressor ?
And also wads the diff btw prices ?
Is there a "better one" ? can be btwn this two or other brands.
Thanks ya! (:

Hmm, what i know is the DynaComp has two knobs, the SuperComp has three. The SuperComp is more expensive. Haven't tried both, so i don't know the difference. But you can always check out Youtube and A/B them.

Both are noisy as what I read over the internet.

Most compressors are 'noisy' if you look at the broad scheme of things.

What does a compressor do? It amplifies low signals, and reduces loud signals. So, depending on where your noise floor in your signal chain is, the compressor is ALWAYS going to amplify it.

There are solutions though - using good cables, running compressors in EFX loop. Comp after/before distortion has been a debate for years and will continue to be - it is a matter of personal choice.

Gee... I didn't know compressors were noisy. I got more and more noise on my multi-effects as I increased the compression, but thought it was a problem with the multi-effects itself... I've never seen the need for a compressor either haha. It's always off on my multi-effects and even when I used single pedals, I didn't see the need for a compressor. Ah well, depends on the person I suppose.

A compressor makes soft sounds louder and loud sounds softer. Essentially it gives it a smoother, less jerky tone. Which is good for recording. There is a volume knob on how loud you want the compressor to be. It can be very soft or very loud. Either way, it's gonna be smooth if you get the settings right.
