Need Advice on getting a used guitar online!

Hi guys,

I've never buy used guitars before and the reason I wanted to is so I can upgrade my pedalboard and I don't bear to literally 'whack' a new guitar be it practisin or performing!! But I fear of being cheated by getting spoiled ones, so is there any advice or things to look out for when buyin? Or should I save more for a new guitar?

Why not visit the buy/sell section? I'm sure that most of the sellers are willing to let you try the guitars before buying at their place.
