NAMM 2006 Thread (Lots of Pics) from TGP

if there is one like that locally, i think we can't go in either. Its a trade show for dealers, distributors, unless having the connection with the dealers...

And locally, actually there is something like that, but definitely on a smaller scale and not as wide range of stuff shown, the pala exhibition that is

i just wanna know, are those cross-like thing cymbals in the 'Metal Factory'?? or its just displays...

OOhhh... very interested in how the EH Metal Muff sounds like

and the Squire tele with the Obey graphics! mmm... nice. i think it shouldnt be too expensive to indulge in as a conversation piece in the living room perhaps. heh

the Buchla Electric Music Box on page 5 is one crazy-looking machine, looks like a telephone operator's switchboard... a synth/experimental guy's wet dream i bet

We have something like that? And we can't attend?!

It made me GAS so hard for a PRS. The satin finished Singlecut Trem (pg 1) are worth taking a look (Try not to think of the price tag though).

Yet Mesa the most popular amps in the planet.

8O 8O The new Mesa Rectifier Roadster....

haha...no doubt...orange amp looks great too...but its just plain sad thing that we cant really get our hands on one...cos alots of brands in the NAMM r nt available in SG...if orange amps and mesa boogie amps or other great amps will reach SG...how many of us here will save up and buy one?

you got a point Itachi... it just reminds us WHY these boutique amp/pedal makers dont consider our market at all. Few gearheads here will fork out that kinda dough for Orange/Matchless/HiWatt amps, even if they could afford it. if there was a bigger market here for such products, you would surely see more dealers willing to bring them in, despite the high overheads.

it's a vicious cycle actually, come to think of it. if we dont even have (much) access to such stuff in the first place, how can the mkt for such products grow? :?

ya...agree with u MrE...imagine with the kind of money that we need to spend to jus buy 1 amphead from these high-end brands...how many different things we can get if we use that same amount of money...never the less...in SG..we simplily live too near to each other...having such heavy impact amps in our home to me its really a waste...cos u cant really utilize the full potential of the amp...when u set the vol alittle bit high only..u can hear ur neighbour complaining liao...
