just got an email from singnet warning me becuase i was sharing copyrighted software in limewire.

so thats it for me. no more downloading from p2p. time to move onto private servers :p

let this be a warning to you all

Uploading becuase your distrubting the copyright software

downloading is wrong aswell but i was busted for uploading

grrr eitherway im not touching it again. not worth the risk

Nowadays itz ez to avoid detection. The p2p programs r so easy to intrude. Now mine runs on an invalid proxy. Oh yeah and 1 thing u can do is stop sharing. Disable uploads, and disable sharing. If ur program doesnt allow u to disable sharing, then disable uploads, helps a lil.

Protection or not, it's not worth the risk la...

Creative's mp3 players thrive, but with the increased assault on song piracy over the net, will they continue?

Doesn't affect me though, I'm still a CD/discman guy through and through

Tht means all cds u own r original? No1 can help it. With mp3 players & ipods upto 80gb or mayb more in space, it would take all century to stop.

95% of the cds i own are original. The 5% being the remnants of the piracy days

I cant afford cd's

But when its a big band then i'll do my best to buy it

im looking forward to the new tool and metallica albums.I will buy them.

Definitely can tahan. It's become quite a bit of an obcession already, this CD buying. Apart from GASSING, CD shopping is by far one of the most "shiok", the satisfaction of hunting down a less well known/rare CD, be it modern day rock or 80s.

no matter how many times they disappoint us, we still look forward to their next release.
that's the mark of a truly successful band.

We live in the hope that the next album will be better then the last.

either way we can still live off their old stuff. i can never get tired of it.

buy CDs lor brother, i use creative mp3 player, but dun download stuff at all, i only downloaded during Napster days a lot, cos Napster was good. :D All the mp3s come from CDs i rip...more satisfaction in owning the CD right? :)

means nothing to me micheal, just means i have to spend time ripping the cd's and then filling in the details, aswell as spending good alcohol money.

My friends and I trade music though. gotta love external hdd's

If everyone stop uploading, it will kill off p2p. P2p works on a sharing basis. We eventually lose out in the long run, use some privacy protection programmes to avoid detection instead. P2ps softwares actually do help some of the authors in terms of publicity. its not as bad as the authorities made up to be.

The biggest downside of P2Ps are the spywares and occasional viruses. Contrary to the belief that some P2Ps block these stuff, some of it still manage to get through. Besides, there are just some songs/videos that are almost impossible to locate on P2Ps.

Speaking of CDs, I personally struck gold in managing to locate, and purchase, the "Poison - best of Ballads & Blues" album.
